Analysis from Ordnance Survey (OS) has created a heat vulnerability index for all cities in Great Britain. Portsmouth, which sits on the south coast of England and is home to 208,000 people, is the most vulnerable to extreme heat today and into the future, according to the research from the OS, the Met Office and the data analysis company 4 Earth Intelligence. Huawei copies Samsung’s privacy display in its latest trifold

Huawei has released its third trifold phone in China, and the company has clearly had half an eye on Samsung during development. Not only does the Mate XT 2 adopt the inward-folding form factor used on Samsung's Galaxy Z TriFold, it's also the first foldable to include a privacy-enhancing display, much like the one Samsung added to the Galaxy S26 Ultra this year. The first Mate XT, which launched in China in late 2024 and internationally a few months later, used an accordion-esque folding design. Starwatch: Waning crescent moon gets close to brilliant beacon of Jupiter

The moon will pass less than a degree north of the giant planet and will be on its other side the next morning Those already out and about at 5am this week will be rewarded with a beautiful waning crescent moon approaching Jupiter, while Mars watches on from a little further away. The chart shows the view looking east from London at 5am on Tuesday. The waning moon will be easily visible with about 10% of its visible surface illuminated. The brilliant beacon of Jupiter will be close by. The two are drawing together ahead of a conjunction later that day when the moon will pass less than a degree north of the giant planet.
