내년부터 통합형 수능-내신 5등급제… 사교육 대신 학교서 진학지도 나선다

고교학점제를 기반으로 만들어진 ‘2022 개정 교육과정’에 따라 2028학년도부터는 대학수학능력시험에서 문과와 이과가 통합된다. 대입에서 내신 5등급제가 처음 적용되고 선택과목도 사라진다. 학생들은 매우 혼란스러울 수밖에 없다. 이에 일선 학교들은 다양한 방식으로 사교육 부담을 낮추기 위한 진학 지도에 나서고 있다. 서울 잠실고는 지난달 학내 행사로 ‘교육과정 박람회’를 진행했다. 2023년부터 4년째 운영하는 행사로 교사, 선배 학생 등이 1학년 학생 등에게 선택과목 선택, 진로 등과 관련해 일대일 멘토링을 해준다. 학생 80명으로 멘토링을 도울 ‘교육과정 이수 학생지원단’도 꾸렸다. 이 학교 1학년 신재인 양은 “통계학과 입학을 희망해 2학년에 올라가면 기하 과목을 들을지 고민됐다”며 “박람회에서 선배들과 상담하며 과목 수강자 규모, 1등급 학생 규모 등을 알 수 있었다. 내년에 내가 직접 후배들에게 상담해주고 싶다는 생각이 들었다”고 말했다. 교사들은 진로 지도와 학업 설계

교육부 “교부금 개편해 영유아~평생교육 투자 강화”

교육부가 지방교육재정교부금(교육교부금) 개편을 통해 마련되는 재원을 활용해 영유아와 고등·평생 교육에 대한 투자를 강화할 방침이다. 다만 기획예산처가 내국세의 20.79%를 교육교부금에 자동 배분하는 현행 제도 폐지를 추진 중인 가운데 교육부는 이에 대한 반대 입장을 재차 밝혔다. 최교진 교육부 장관은 12일 국회 교육위원회에서 이 같은 내용의 하반기 업무계획을 보고했다. 최 장관은 교육교부금 개편 방안과 관련해 “(현행처럼) 내국세에 연동돼 보전돼야 한다”면서도 “초중등 예산을 줄이는 게 아니라 초과 세수분을 초중등 분야 이외의 교육 분야에 쓸 수 있도록 논의하고 있다”고 밝혔다. 그러면서 “교부금 개편으로 마련된 재원을 토대로 영유아부터 고등·평생교육까지 전 주기에 걸친 미래 인재 육성을 위해 투자를 강화하겠다”고 강조했다. 또 “(일정 부분을) 미래대응기금으로 설정했을 때 교육 분야에 어느 규모로 필요한지를 협의하고 있다”고 했다. 교육위원장인 김희정 국민의힘 의원은 “태
