아버지가 흡연하고 양육 및 가사 참여 수준이 낮을수록 1세 자녀의 미디어 노출 가능성이 높아질 수 있다는 연구 결과가 나왔다. 9일 육아정책연구소가 최근 공개한 ‘육아정책연구’ 제20권 2호에 따르면 1세 영아 미디어 노출 주요 변인으로 아버지의 흡연 여부 등이 꼽혔다. 연구진은 최근 미디어 이용 연령이 급격히 하향화되고 있다며, 이에 대한 주요 변인을 분석했다. 2013년 국내 영유아 스마트기기 최초 이용 평균 연령은 2.27세였으나 10년이 지난 2023년엔 생후 12개월 무렵부터 디지털 미디어를 접하기 시작하는 것으로 나타났다. 영아 미디어 노출에 영향을 주는 요인은 영아 개인 특성, 부모, 가정 환경 요인 등으로 구분되지만 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 요인은 ‘부모’라는 지적이다. 청소년과 달리 영아는 미디어 기기를 직접 소유하지 않기에 대부분 부모의 기기를 통해 간접적으로 접근한다. 이때 부모 요인은 주로 어머니를 중심으로 연구돼 왔으나 연구진은 어머니 외 다양한 요인

설악산 토왕골서 등산객 8명 고립…1시간30분 만에 구조

강원 설악산에서 암벽등반을 마치고 하산하던 등산객 8명이 갑자기 불어난 계곡물에 고립됐다가 구조됐다.9일 설악산국립공원사무소에 따르면 전날 오후 9시쯤 설악산국립공원 내 토왕골에서 등반객들이 불어난 계곡물로 고립됐다는 신고가 접수됐다.이들은 등반을 마치고 하산하던 중 내린 비로 계곡물이 불어나면서 이동이 어려워지자 구조를 요청한 것으로 파악됐다.신고를 받은 국립공원 특수구조대와 119구조대는 약 1시간 30분 만에 이들을 모두 구조했다.구조 당시 일부는 저체온증을 호소했지만 생명에는 지장이 없는 상태였다.산악지역 계곡은 짧은 시간 내린 비에도 상류에서 내려온 물이 한꺼번에 몰리면서 수위와 유속이 빠르게 변할 수 있어 각별한 주의가 필요하다.최승철 설악산국립공원사무소 재난안전과장은 “설악산은 계곡이 깊고 급경사로 이뤄진 곳이 많아 비가 내리면 계곡물이 급격하게 불어나 고립되기 쉽다”며 “계획된 산행이라도 비가 내릴 경우 포기하고 신속하게 안전한 곳으로 하산해야 한다”고 당부
