“우리도 부자 기운 받으러 가볼까?”60대 A 씨는 1월 친구와 함께 경남 의령군 솥바위로 향했다. 남강 강가로 내려가면 물 위에 커다란 솥 하나가 떠 있는 듯한 바위가 있다. 독특한 생김새만큼이나 이 바위를 유명하게 만든 것은 ‘부자 명당’이라는 전설이다. 과거 이곳을 지나던 한 도인이 “주변 20리(8㎞) 안에 부자가 끊이지 않을 것”이라고 예언했다는 전설이 내려온다. 실제로 솥바위를 중심으로 약 5~8㎞ 떨어진 곳에서 삼성 이병철, LG 구인회, 효성 조홍제 창업주가 각각 태어났다. 이병철은 경남 의령군, 구인회는 진주시, 조홍제는 함안군 출신이다.A 씨에 따르면 당시 솥바위 주변에서는 관광객들이 사진을 찍거나 두 손을 모아 소원을 빌기도 했다.
